Since 1974, we’ve been a refreshingly independent practitioner of block management earning the trust of tenants' associations and resident boards.
As we approach our 50th year in residential property management we are proud to see two thirds of our blocks of flats still with us as clients for over 25 years. We must be doing something right!
Probably the largest privately-owned block managers in London, we have been able to work and respond to residents’ needs in our own special way, without interference by external investors and bean counters who constantly load more ‘units’ onto ever fewer managers to save costs. Instead, we have the lowest ratio of blocks to managers compared to other firms. And where other agents look primarily to profits from sales and lettings, we are solely focused on management to which all our staff, training and resources are committed.
Every one of our family of blocks has come to us by recommendation – we have never needed to advertise. Nor do we have any plans to change our bespoke management style by selling out or merging. Too many agents have been tempted to ‘empire-build’ and soon become unrecognisable. We see ourselves as big enough to guarantee the service, yet small enough to keep it personal.
Our management portfolio includes prime properties such as Fountain House on Park Lane, Park Mansions in Knightsbridge, One Princes Gate and Wycombe Square, Kensington – once touted as the most expensive address in the UK. Other high net worth estates include the exceptional Buxmead in Highgate. These are managed and administered by our staff of over 40 management surveyors, accounts and administrative personnel all based under one roof in our own freehold building in North London. There is also a field office at London Bridge to support our SE London and Docklands area properties.
The loyalty and exceptionally low turnover of our clients and blocks is matched by the loyalty and low turnover of our own staff, where the policy is to promote from within rather than import staff from other firms whose standards and ethos may fall short.
We are foundation members of our regulatory body, ARMA, whose external auditors rated our compliance as ‘outstanding’ this past year. We have also earned and maintained ISO-9001 BSI accreditation of our systems and procedures which are monitored and have been externally audited for some 20 years.
In 2019 we were appointed by the London Property Tribunal (FTT) to take over the management of the Canary Riverside Estate, the largest mixed residential development complex in Canary Wharf. There is no patronage more esteemed in our profession.
Parkgate Aspen was established in 1974, with the merging of two sister companies.
We serve a large client base amongst resident-controlled estates, currently managing a portfolio of over 7,000 homes predominantly situated in London and the Home Counties.
Of course, even with over 45 years’ experience, any guarantee of consistent service is only as good as the personnel that will back it up. Our loyalty of staff affords a unique level of familiarity and continuity to clients, old and new alike.
Our managers discuss current issues with colleagues, facilitating a transfer of knowledge, cover, support and backup when required.
We pin our success to a professional and caring work ethos that has resulted in longevity of both client and staff relationships.
Our experience has taught us that there are no shortcuts in the quality management of flats and blocks. We dedicate all our resources to servicing our residents and leaseholders in the “old-fashioned” way, providing professional and personable staff, who respect and remember at all times that we are dealing with your homes.
